The parent company (ICNL), is a fully indigenous organization incorporated in February 1980 to provide port services to the hinterland through its two bonded terminals; ICD Kano and ICD Kaduna, with a combined capacity of 8000 TEUs. Having considered its expertise in Bonded Terminal Operations, Clearing & Forwarding, Shipping Agency, Logistics and Transportation with vast knowledge of the maritime industry spanning over several years.

About the Job

  • We are seeking to recruit Front Desk Associate for our Kaduna office.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and responds to visitors/phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Maintains a register of calls received or complaints from customer received at the front desk
  • Maintains accurate register of incoming and outgoing mails.
  • Registers, sorts and delivers incoming mails to appropriate staff and outgoing mails for dispatch.
  • Provides all services with courtesy even in times of severe distress and be able to handle crises in a professional manner.
  • Acts as a liaison between clients and staff.
  • Performs administrative support tasks, such as prepare meeting rooms, snacks, etc. for meetings and celebrations held in the organization.
  • Prepares and submits relevant reports on all activities to the Admin & facilities Manager.
  • Prepares and processes necessary paperwork related to outgoing mail dispatch services
  • Manages front desk operations and ensure reception area is tidy.
  • Greets customers and clients entering establishment and makes sure they are comfortable, determines nature and purpose of visit, and directs or escort them to specific destinations.
  • Ensures telephone calls are answered in a timely and efficient manner, transferring calls as necessary, dealing with general enquiries about the Company, and/or referring clients to the appropriate department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND in Secretarial Studies or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity, and high level proficiency in using MS Office Suite.
